Roles/Duties:
- Provide legal advice to senior leadership on a wide range of legal issues, including regulatory, administrative, and compliance matters.
- Manage and oversee the organization's legal department, including outside counsel as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly those affecting public policy and governance.
- Draft and review contracts, policies, and legal documents.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, negotiations, and dispute resolutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential legal challenges.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Job Requirements:
- Legal management and counsel: 5+ years
- Experience with regulatory and administrative law: 5 - 10 years
- Leadership and team management: 3 - 7 years
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal experience, including experience as General Counsel or in a senior legal advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of administrative law, regulatory frameworks, and public policy.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with senior leadership.
- Experience in managing legal teams and overseeing complex legal matters.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
