Campaign Canvasser Job Description: Top Duties and Qualifications
Job Description:
✅ A Political Campaign Canvasser assists with our political campaigning and election campaigns. The ideal candidate should be able to conduct door-to-door and telephone canvassing, and other campaign activities to get out the vote and increase voter turnout for our candidate. As a Phoenix, Arizona Political Campaign Canvasser, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on voter preferences and voting habits, organizing canvasses and campaign events, attending meetings and events to represent the campaign and candidate, and working with volunteers and supporters. The job requires experience in political campaigning, strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. You should be knowledgeable about the null hypothesis, hypothesis testing, predictor variables, and the one-sided test and its effects on canvassing results. Additionally, the job requires flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel within the county and state. Roles/Duties:
- Must be able to go door-to-door and speak with Republican Voters
Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Vice Chair.
Work with Communications Director, Data Director, and other staff, committee chairs, team leads as appropriate to implement organizational goals across the county.
Job Requirements:
- Campaign is only seeking operatives with door-to-door experience
Full availability for the last two months before the Election is required.
Ability to work long and unusual hours (weekends and some nights, especially leading up to the election).
Detail oriented and comfortable to work in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
Access to a reliable vehicle. Travel is required.
Positive attitude and a commitment and passion to the cause of electing candidates..
Compensation Range:
$26 per hour.
Schedule:
The Campaign Canvasser will typically work part-time, with flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends.
Ability to Commute:
Occasional Travel might be required.
Experience Requirements:
No prior experience is required, but prior experience in political organizing or advocacy is a plus.
