Roles/Duties:
- ✔ Oversee opposition research strategy and execution for political campaigns.
- ✔ Analyze candidate records, speeches, donations, and voting history.
- ✔ Develop comprehensive opposition research books on political opponents.
- ✔ Manage a team of researchers, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- ✔ Track media coverage, social media, and public statements for opposition.
- ✔ Coordinate with campaign leadership to deploy research effectively.
- ✔ Ensure all research is legally compliant and strategically impactful.
Job Requirements:
- Political Opposition Research Experience: Must have worked on political opposition research books—no exceptions.
- Minimum Experience: At least two years of experience in opposition research or politics.
- Investigative Expertise: Strong investigative skills with expertise in public records analysis.
- Data Synthesis: Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Team Management: Experience managing research teams in fast-paced political environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in LexisNexis, FEC filings, and research databases.
- Writing & Communication: Excellent writing, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience in political opposition research books (legislative research experience is not applicable).
- Proven ability to analyze public records, financial filings, and investigative reports for opposition research.
- Demonstrated leadership in research teams within high-pressure political campaigns or organizations.
- Advanced research skills using LexisNexis, FEC filings, and other opposition research tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings effectively.
Compensation and Benefits:
$75,000 per year based on experience plus benefits.
