Job Description:
✅ The Legislative Aide supports a legislative body member, such as a member of Congress or a state legislature. This includes researching and analyzing legislative issues, drafting and reviewing legislation and communications, and assisting with constituent services. The Indianapolis, Indiana Legislative Aide will also represent the legislative office at meetings and events and may be responsible for managing the office’s social media presence.
Roles/Duties:
- Research and analyze legislative issues
- Draft and review legislation and communications
- Assist with constituent services, including responding to inquiries and requests for assistance
- Represent the legislative office at meetings and events
- Manage the office’s social media presence
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, or a related field
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Experience with legislative processes is a plus
Compensation Range:
$32000 per year, depending on experience.
Schedule:
The Legislative Aide will be expected to work full-time, typically Monday through Friday. The schedule may include evening and weekend work, as needed. The term runs: January to April.

At least 0.5-2 years of experience working in a political environment is required.
